The pieces in the series are based on the same common form and in the same color scale, while the artists has created separated decorations for the beautiful vases and dishes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIvan Weiss became an apprentice to Nils Thorsson, who was in charge of the Royal Copenhagen stoneware and faience department. He gained deep insight into ceramics and in the years 1970-72 he studied ceramics in Hagi in Japan.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHe was subsequently re-employed at Royal Copenhagen and continued his collaboration with Nils Thorsson in his department. Ivan Weiss has designed parts of the well-known stoneware and faience from the 60s and 70s, which can be found in many Danish homes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIvan Weiss still works freelance for Royal Copenhagen and is a guest lecturer at the Danish Design School.
